There comes a point when moving through a new city turns into an uncertain adventure. In Cúcuta —a growing city with a disorganized public transportation system— that adventure can easily become confusion. Senda was born to turn that chaos into clarity, offering locals and visitors an intelligent, accessible, and human way to navigate the city.

Introduction

Connecting routes, people, and experiences.

The project proposes a mobile application designed to guide users through Cúcuta’s public transportation system. Through an intuitive interface, Senda allows users to visualize available bus routes, estimate travel times, and discover the most convenient paths according to their destination.

Additionally, it integrates a tourism layer that works as a digital guide, recommending points of interest and showing the ideal routes to reach them—turning every journey into an opportunity to explore and discover.

Senda also includes a dedicated space for drivers, providing tools that make their daily work easier. From recording travel times and viewing completed route histories to accessing real-time navigation, the app offers support that improves the efficiency and organization of public transport, benefiting both passengers and transport companies.

The app is primarily designed for tourists and newcomers to the city—and, by extension, for local transport authorities. However, its usefulness extends to any citizen seeking a more affordable and reliable way to get around. Its design aims to convey safety, guidance, and trust—three essential values for navigating unfamiliar environments.

My work is defined by simplicity and purpose. I believe in design that speaks without excess, where every shape, typeface, and color has a reason to exist. To me, design isn’t decoration — it’s the structure of ideas and the emotion behind the unseen.

More than just a mobility tool, Senda is an invitation to rediscover the city from a new perspective — a map that connects not only destinations but also experiences, fostering exploration and strengthening the relationship between people and their urban surroundings.
